I was an abandoned little kitten just like Pip an Smidgie.
I was found in a field that is part of where mom works. There I was, lost in this sea of cages.
I don’t know how the work crew found me, but they did. So these ladies took me back to the main offices an I guess everyone knows what a softy my mom is cause they pretty much called her straight away! Other folk there either didn’t want a kitten or all ready had a house-full. So here I am now! Thanks, mom.
Well, even tho I came to the Good Life, I was still a wild kitty. Hee hee! Mom called me Monster Minnie! MOL! I had ta be locked up by myself at first and let me tell you, I did NOT like! An I told mom so. It wasn't too long after the V-E-T gave me the all-clear with my health that I got to be free. I don't know if that was such a good thing cause Pip didn't really like me then an she still doesn't like me much. Mom keeps us separates now when she isn't home to make sure we play nice. Sigh...back in lock-up...
One thing that I thought was really neat is that I had a new doggy bro. Pip and Smidge weren't use ta dogs when he came but since he was all ready here, I didn't know any better. I liked hanging around him cause when I did, Pip couldn't bother me. MOL. Though once, after I had only been with mom for maybe a month, I tried to get through a gate to see Wriggley an the gate fell over. I got kinda stuck as it fell an I broke my leg!
But don't worry cause this next pic-sher is a month later on the day I got the bandage off. All better!
I turned 4 this year an I guess I'm quietin down. Mom still thinks I'm a goob an I suppose I still have my moments. I guess I'm still a kitten at heart. Thanks for stoppin' by an have a super weekend!
I was an orphan kitty at a very young age. I don't know if my kitty-mom and furblings were killed by vishus animals or hit by cars ::shudder:: I don't like to think about those times. I was alone.
A friend of my mom's had just moved to the property where I was at. They knew us kitties were there and were worried - even tho they weren't cat people - cause they had vishus doggies! My mom had said she would help and take us kitties if we could be found. I was the only one.
So one day I was crying and crying. I was scared and lonely and hungry. Next thing I new, someone was scrambling through the bushes...and then...everything went dark. I was caught an all wrapped up in some fuzzy thing. I hissed and spit and swore up a storm. It turns out it was my mom who had me! I put up such a fight I sounded five times my size an I really scared my mom's friend!
Then a lot of good stuff started to happen. I got all cleaned up an all the little crawly things were picked off me. I started getting regular meals. Wow...score!
Hee hee! Lookit, I was so little, mom called me a smidgen of a kitty!
I had two new kitty sisters. There was Pip and mom's firstcat Mouse. Neither of them liked me at first...I don't think Mouse ever liked me! She was older and well, I was kinda pesty. She crossed the Bridge a few months after I came. I liked pestering playing with Pip too. That's us playin Door Wars. One of my favorites! Me an Pip are pretty good friends now.
Even tho I came from the wilds, I didn't mind people too much. I was kinda gettin used to them, but one night the door bell kept on ringing. Hordes of little monsters was coming to our house yellin and beggin. Yow! Since then I figure anyone comin' to our house is a scary monster! I get nervous being outside by myself - you never know where a monster can be hiding - so I mostly stays inside.
I don't mind so much. Give me a patch of sunshine...Aaaahhh! Life is good. Thanks for stopping by and reading 'bout my beginnings. Happy (finally!) formerly feral Friday!
Hee hee! Those are my paws! That pic was from a coupla years ago. Mom let me outside for a bit an I was playin catch...with a wasp...and it stung me! Can you see that one of my paws is all swolled up? I hurt and limped for a few days and then it was all better. Mom had seen it happen and she was glad cause it was later that my paw swelled. Instead of freakin out, she just took a pic-sher. Pawrents!
My paws are back to normal now.
I never get to go outside though, now, unless I sneak out...I wonder if that was one of the reasons...
Yello, Pip again. It's just another Caturday around here. Mom's home and that's nice for me 'cause I can be outside for a bit, enjoy the fresh airs. I can only be out when she's home to make sure I'm safe.
I like to sit on the bench on our front porch and nap or listen to the neighborhood sounds.
Mom likes to sit out with me too.
It's Hot (!!) here today and proly tomorrow too. By early afternoon I'm ready to continue my nappin' inside. Ooohh, was that the air switching on? Aaaahhh....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
We are all formerly feral here. Our mom came across each of us in our own way when we were around 4 to 6 weeks old. We're gonna take turns in the next coupla Fridays and tell you our stories.
I’m Pip and I was the first. I don’t remember much about my real kitty family. All I know is that one morning, very early, I was alone and I was trying to find a place to hide. Someone had seen me and was trying to get me! I was grabbed just as I was about to get under a trailer.
This place that I was at was where my mom worked! The person that caught me passed me on to someone that mom worked directly with. Well, you can probably guess the rest. But no one else there really wanted me. Can you believe that? So my mom turned out to be the sucker, ahem, person who stepped up to give me a home.
This is me when I was little. I'm camo!
My full name is Pipsqeak. Can you guess why?
I’ve been living the good kitty-life ever since. I’m gonna be 10 in a coupla months. ::sigh:: That might never have been possible. I’m still kinda shy of other beans besides my mom an' if you came over ta my house, you might never know I was there. A cat can't be too careful.
Thanks for stopping by an' reading my story. Happy Friday to all an' have a good weekend!
