It is soft on one side and sort of scratchy on the other.

Plus it is spongy and great to bunny kick!

 

Momma had this hidden by the kitchen sink.  I think it was rude of her to hold out on us like that.

I'm not there any more...

I didn't talk about it much, but I've been dealing with chronic kidney disease for a long time.  Seven years.  Finally, though, my little kidneys said "enough!", and they pretty much weren't working any more.  I went to the v-e-t yesterday and Mom had them help me on my next journey, Over the Rainbow Bridge.

I feel like a kitten again.  And I have my tail in all it's long and beautiful glory.  hee hee!

Thanks, Mom, for not letting my fierce kitten-tude scare you away those 14 years ago and for bringing me home out of the wilds.  Life was good.

One evening, Momma saw a suspicious brown lump of something on the floor of our dimly lit hallway.  Since Sharpie will sometimes chase Smidgie, Momma was pretty quick to start grumbling at us for chasing her out of the litter box.

She turned on a light in the hall baffroom, grabbed some tissues to pick up the poops, except...

Hullo!

So, you wanna know about the guest kitty we have stayin here.

Well, just have a look down there.

 

 yow!  how'd he do that?

 

And no, she's not the reason my tail is floofed out.

She told us her name is Tiger Lilly, but we can call her Lilly.

Once or twice a month our momma has been volunteering at a kitty spay/neuter clinic for ferals.  A couple of weeks ago, at the last clinic, this little one came through.  Momma says she was in a trap with a big orinj boycat and maybe they couldn't really tell how small she was.  Anyhoo, she had her girlcat surgicals but needed some TLC with her recovery - there was no way she could be put back with her colony.  There wasn't anyone else right there that could take her so our momma said she would.

 

go away!  we don't need any more girlcats here!

She still has some kitten cooties so we aren't supposed to be around her too much.  Ditto doesn't really like her but I don't think she is so bad.  Of course the other girlcats don't like her much at all.

Sometime next month momma will take her back to the shelter or see what needs to be done for finding her a forever family.  In the meantime, I'm looking forward to having somebuddy else to chase around here.
