Easy Sunday

This was us last weekend on Easy Sunday, though this Sunday is no different.

We had just gotten home from camp.  We had to spend a few days there while momma did some traveling for her work place.  They let us use their computer so we could send momma email updates on how we were doing.  Would you believe she was worried that she'd get a note saying we were being jerks and she needed to come home and get us?!?!??  This time we ALL got a good report card.

We told momma off pretty much the whole way on the squillion hour car ride home.  By the time we were home, re-introduced to the house given lots of treats, we'd forgiven her the injustice and were all sweet and snuggly.  (You know, our usual selves, tee hee!)

We've just been hangin out this weekend, enjoying it an all.  Our momma too.  Now it's time to get ready for dinners and the week ahead.

Have a good one, everybuddy!

Toesday with Minnie

Yello!

It's me an my pawsies again!
hee hee!

Today is a special Toesday post on account of our new friends Carmine, Milita, and Jewel at Fur Everywhere gave us an award!

It's the Shine On Award!
Isn't it pawsome?  Thanks so much to Carmine, Milita, and Jewel, and their mom :)

Ok, there are some rules we have to follow...

1. to thank the blogger that nominated you - check!
2: link back to their bloggie - see above - check!
3: share 7 random facts about you - see below
and finally, 4: nominate 15 other blogs.

Okay, here we go with our random facts.

1. Well, it might surprise you to know that I am not a trouble maker.  Just because all of our blog posts tagged with 'trouble making' coincidentally are also tagged with 'Minnie' doesn't mean a thing.  I mean, that is circumstantial evidence at best!  And if you believe that, I have a bridge I'll sell you in San Francisco...

2. When I was a kitten, mom was supervising some outside time for me.  A vulture flew over me kind of low and I poofed out and ran back into the house!

Hollie's dainty pawsies

3. Pip and Smidgen are big time droolers when they purr.  Hollie says she doesn't drool when she is making biscuits, that the kitty spit is her secret ingredient.  Woops!  I guess the secret is out now, heh heh...

Pip's pawsies with a whisker photobomb

4. You know those pictures of Pip with her face in a coffee mug?  Well, she really is drinking coffee.  She takes it black, in case you are wonderin.

5. Pip will lick mom's toothbrush...and mom knows this...but still uses it.  hee hee!

6. Our mom is one of those persons who can't carry a tune if it had a handle, but Smidgen likes it when she sings or reads out loud and will go purr (and drool) crazy.

Smidgie's rear pawsies

7. None of us have ever had bacon!!!!

Whew!

Me and my pawsies need to relax now!

ok...now for the hard part...nominating who to pass the award on to.
Well, we know a lot of folks have all ready gotten it.  If you are visiting us today and you don't have this award, we want to share it with YOU!

Thanks again to the Fur Everywhere kittehs!
Have a great Toesday, everybuddy!

Toesday with Minnie

the We Are Blogville edition.

Yello!
It's me, Minnie...er...well, my pawsies at least...and maybe a little bit of my nose.

We are joining our furiends Murphy and Stanley in their We Are Blogville blog hop!

So besides me here at Fraidy Cat Central, there is Smidgen...

And Pip, the oldest of us kitties...

Now the three of us are the original Fraidy Cats.  We were former ferals that our mom took in.

We learned from blogging friends when Hollie was in need of a new home.  Her previous family didn't live too far from us and since we had the room, we took her in...

Then there is our doggy bro, Wriggley.  He is our go-to pup for special occasions where any special posing or dress-up might be required.  Now I have to break from Toesday tradition and post a pic-sher of all of him...so just concentrate on his pawsies...ok?

We all live in Northern California, north of Sacramento, in the Sacramento Valley.  Our town is pretty small and very agriculture oriented.  We do live in a residential neighborhood, but there are a lot of rice fields, tomato fields, and a'mond orchards around us.

We love Blogville!
The friends we've made.
The support we've received and been able to give.
And the fun we have everyday visiting and sharing with everybuddy.

Blogville Rocks!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Toesday, everybuddy!

Merry Christmas!

Dear friends, we'd like to thank you for being our friends, you all mean so much to us!  We wish for you a joy- and blessing-filled Christmas or holiday celebration.

We'd like to take a moment to reflect on the true reason for the season.

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:10-11 KJV

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
John 1: 14 KJV

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
John 1: 4-5 KJV

"But to all who received him, who believeth in his name, he gave power to become children of God, who were born, not of blood or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God."
John 1: 12-13 NRSV

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Have a wondrous day, everybuddy!

Whattaya know!

We're addictive! :-)

Our furriends Dave and Zim gave us the Addictive Blog Award.  How cool is that?!?!  Thanks, pups!  and they said it was for ALL of us, especially even me, although I'm technically not a Fraidy Cat...

I'm supposed to tell you how we, um, ok, my kitty sisters, started blogging.  Well, our mom started a blog a few years ago as a way to chronicle our antics - she said to "bore the world and no one at the same time", so to speak.  Somehow the cats got on the computer and found the Cat Blogosphere.  They were able to convince our mom to let them start a blog.  They were nervous about it at first, being fraidy cats and all.  They've been blogging for a couple of years now.  We've all had fun meeting new friends from all over the world, and that encourages us.

Thanks again, Dave and Zim, we're touched you pups thought of me us!

How was that, Minnie?

woofs,
Wriggley

Easy Sunday Recap

Well, we had an Easy entire weekend!
To sum it up...

Since our mom was lazy last weekend, we had to put her to work this weekend.
Yesterday she worked on the front yard and today she did the back yard.  Most impawtantly, she put more bird food out and cleaned their bath dishes (it's been hot here!)

Do you see that thing hangin way at the back, what looks like a bird house maybe?
Well, it's acutally a bee house!
It's for mason bees and other solitary type species that don't colonize in hives like honey bees do.
Mom hung it out there several weeks ago, not realy expectin anything.
And...

See the plugged up holes?  We got lodgers!
We're all really excited...ok...mostly our mom is really excited...

This is the time of year when we get ant invasions in the house.  Mom was all grumbly cause just a week after she organized the cupboards and our half of the pantry, the ants came!  They didn't get into any of our food but mom didn't want to take any chances.  Part of her chore work today was to get airtight containers for our dehydrated type foodables.  Now she just has to figure out how to fit the containers in the cupboard...details...

This time of year also brings these guys...or maybe gals...

(creepy pic-sher warning)

Mol!  We have garden spiders out the wazoo and mom lets them stay.  This is one of the biggest!  The pic-sher is zoomed but she really is that big, mol!  Thankfully they stay outside. These guys are in the class of "too creepy for us to mess with".  Hee hee!

With that, have a great week, everybuddy!

We Must've Been Good...

We had a nice day yesterday and hope you did too!
We must have been good cause we each got some nice gifties.  The packages under the tree weren't bags of coal!

Wriggley got a big box of cookies.
But he wouldn't share with us.

Each of us got a selection of catnippy toys.

We thought it was kind of funny that we got mom this training manual, and we got some books too!

We've been wanting to learn French, and now we have these two course books.
Of course, paws down, the best present of all was the ribbons and wrappings!

And mom has purposely left everything lying about so we can make a big mess still have fun with it.
Oh!  Guess what?  The big presents under the tree weren't for Minnie after all.  Hee hee!  Not to give anything away, but Hollie will tell you about that later.
Have a nice Monday!

Easy...Fogday

Minnie on the look-out

We had some rain on Thanksgiving and since then the weather conditions have been ripe for fog.  Yesterday it gave way to sun, so I'm hoping for the same today.  I'm on the lookout!

We're mostly taking it easy today.  It's our mom's last day of holiday.  We've had a busy weekend, though.  First we had to help mom with some chores, you know, laundry an all...

No, really, we are helping!

Our mom  was on a bit of a clean-up-and-get-organized bent.  She took away the scratchy climby thing we had in the hallway and ordered a new one; one that she could store stuff in too.  It came yesterday and I helped her put it together.

Not bad!

Pretty cool, huh Pip?

Mom let us play in the box for a bit before taking it out to recycle.
Mom, you should recylce this into a cat toy for us!

So now we're all waiting in our own way for the sunshine still.

We hope you're all enjoying a nice weekend and SUNday!

Thankful Thursday

We've really been giving Wriggley a hard time lately, and well, we are feelin a little bad about it...just a little...maybe...

We proly wouldn't even have all of our super duper deluxe super extra large cat beds in the first place if it wasn't for him (our mom can be pretty cheap that way).

Minnie wouldn't have kibbles and cookies to inspect.  Or any groceries for that matter.  Mom would have the time to do it herself.

Yow!  I'd be out of a job!

I think Wriggley is pretty cool cause I know when I'm around him, Pip will leave me alone!

It pains us to say this...and this is proly gonna ruin our reputation as cats, but...
we're thankful for our doggy bro...maybe...just a little...

Even if he does slobber all over our kitty toys...

And no, this doesn't mean we're giving your beds back!
