Caturday

Our mom inherited a love for radio shows from her dad.  Especially the old detective shows and mysteries like The Shadow.  She has collected a few tapes and cd's over the years and only recently found a web site exclusive for these programs.

 

 

She ordered a couple of programs and they came the other day.  This morning we were perusing the catalogue that came in the package.  So mom got a mystery show, Mr and Mrs North, and, inspired by our Sibe friends, we thought we'd try the adventure program Sgt Preston of the Yukon.  We listened to one of the mystery shows last night and really like it.  Maybe tonight will be adventure night :).

In other news, the weather here has been really nice.  We've been able to enjoy window whiffies all week.  We had to send mom out to do yard work on account of everything has been growing, and tomorrow, get this, somebuddy is coming to give us an estimate on a catio patio cover!  Mom says not to get our hopes up, that it will probably cost too many green papers, but we'll see.

Firsts

um...hai...it's me...Hollie!

Yeah.  I'm helping the lady work on her crossword puzzle.  I've never done this before.

 

Would you believe, though, that she doesn't want my help???

Something about being in the way...I don't know what she's talking about...

 

 

Just because this is the first time I've done this doesn't mean that I don't know all of the answers.

It's a kitty thing.

It was bound to happen...

Mom was at it again with her activity mat and picture building.  Since I still couldn't convince mom of more fun games to play with all of those little toys puzzle pieces, I resigned myself to helping her play her way.

It turned out that there was one piece that we could not seem to find.  Last weekend when mom finished the picture, that one elusive piece was still no where to be found!

 Now I know what you are thinking...

"Minnie, what did you do with that piece?!?"

 

Let me just say that this is the fifth picture game mom has played.  That is five squillion thousand little toys puzzle pieces and this is the first one to go missing.

 

I will say that there were a couple of times where mom left her activity mat out when she had to make quick trips outside for Wriggley to do his business an all.  Strangely enough, at those same times, a mysterious weather phenomenon blew through our living room and wreaked havoc with mom's activity mat!

Hang on now, before you think anything too badly, yesterday as mom was cleaning house, lookit what she found in a corner on the kitchen floor...

Actually, I've been a bit busy today.

We set up our Christmas tree and I hampered helped!

Thankful Thursday

Mom is thankful she had Wriggley and I to help her finish her picture game.

Rainy Day Games

It's a rainy day here.  Mom is trying to do stuff and says I keep getting in the way.  Mom and I are playing a fun new game.

It's me, Minnie, again ...and my pawsies.

 

 

We're helpin mom out on this game she's playin.  Mom really likes our help.  I can tell by her sighs of contentment.  Anywho, we're playin this game called Soduko.  The idea is to put these number tiles on the game board.

 

 

Apparently, though, it's not part of the rules to whap the pieces around on the floor.

Team Effort

I'm beginning to think folks might be gettin the wrong impression about me.

You know, that I'm such a trouble maker helpful kitty trouble maker an all...

We kitties aren't much for snugglin together an stuff like that.  Though when it comes to hamperin helping mom around the house, we're a pretty good team.

I just clocked off for the afternoon.

But don't worry, 'cause Pip is ready to take over...

Just...stuff

Mom stocked up on our foodables a coupla weeks ago.  Over last weekend she was procrastinatin other chores so she stocked our stinky goodness pantry.

She even reorganized the cupboards and gave us our own set of shelves for the rest of our food!

We have more food than she does, mol!

Later, Mom brought out her activitiy mat.

 

We have an activity mat too but it's pretty boring.

ho hum...

Mom's has 87 squillion a thousand toys with it. She's been playing some boring game where she sticks the pieces together. Somethin about makin a picture...

When she first started playin with her mat, I tried to convince her to try some other, more fun games.

Like whappin the little toys pieces about...

My personal favorite is grab-a-piece-and-run-all-over-the-house.  This ranks up there with hide-a-piece and seek.

I' gotta find just the right piece and I'm ready to GO!

Alas, mom is soooo boring!  She would not listen to any of my suggestions.
