Our mom inherited a love for radio shows from her dad.  Especially the old detective shows and mysteries like The Shadow.  She has collected a few tapes and cd's over the years and only recently found a web site exclusive for these programs.
She ordered a couple of programs and they came the other day.  This morning we were perusing the catalogue that came in the package.  So mom got a mystery show, Mr and Mrs North, and, inspired by our Sibe friends, we thought we'd try the adventure program Sgt Preston of the Yukon.  We listened to one of the mystery shows last night and really like it.  Maybe tonight will be adventure night :).
What's that mom?
What do you mean you want to turn the page?
Okay, okay!
In other news, the weather here has been really nice.  We've been able to enjoy window whiffies all week.  We had to send mom out to do yard work on account of everything has been growing, and tomorrow, get this, somebuddy is coming to give us an estimate on a catio patio cover!  Mom says not to get our hopes up, that it will probably cost too many green papers, but we'll see.
What?  You want to turn the page again?!?
That's it...
I'm outa here!
Have a great weekend, everybuddy!

  1. Sheesh, Minnie. Doesn't she see that you're sitting there?? She can read some other time.

Good luck with the patio. We hope you can get it. :)

  2. CATIO??!!!!!

    ooooh, we hope so!

Mommy listens more to the TV than watches it, on account of her crocheting...she thinks she'd like radio shows, too.

  3. Humans are so demanding with their page turning and stuff.

  4. Good luck getting your patio - it would really give you a feeling of connection with everything.

For those reading this, check out my cat blog for archived stories about the abandoned/feral cat colony I manage.

  5. We are terrible detectives here. Skeeter unnerstood that stuff, but we dont.

  6. Oh, wouldn't a catio cover be marvelous? We'll cross our paws you can get one done!

Our human uses to listen to a couple of old radio detective shows years ago, back in Halifax. One of the stations at the time would play them once a week. Really neat!

  7. Mom tried to listen to a radio show but kept falling asleep. She's a good sleeper.
