Lookit the new socks our Momma got.

 

They are called cativities.  There is even a kitty horking!

She thinks they are hilarious.

But what would really be funny is if she were to "find" some of our yak while she was wearing them.

Monday Funday!

We had some holiday specials over the weekend on our T.V.

Can you tell what I am watchin?  Yes!  Our Squirrel Channel was broadcasting.

hee hee!

On Friday it was just Solo Squirrel.

And then on Caturday, we had the program Squirrel and Friend.

The action gets pretty close.  It was a fun program.

Mom went out yesterday to get some more birdseed and she got some special food for the squirrels.  After she put out the food, the Solo Squirrel program came on again.  Mom was a litte disappointed because besides his own special food, this guy was out hoovering up the cracked corn she threw out there for the doves.  We're proly creating squirrel pests too but it's all in the name of our entertainment :D

Sock Monkey Collar!

I got a package in the mail the other day.  See, we had the winning bid in an auction not too long ago for our choice of either a collar, flower, or bow tie from Clara's Collars, donated by Sarge.

There was even a cookie with the package!

Mom decided on a sock monkey collar.  I'm not sure why she thought my sock monkeys needed a collar.  And would you look?

She didn't even get the size right!  It's way too big even for Texas Sock Monkey!

Awww, I'm kidding!  I knew it was a collar for me.
It fits me juuuust right :)

Mom says it is pawfect for me.  Not sure what she is implying there...

This is my first ever collar from Clara's.  Mom and I both think it is pawsome.
She swapped all my tags over to it and now we're good to go!

So mom...whattayasay...let's go!

Thankful Thursday

I hope you don't mind seeing me again.

I wanted to give everybuddy a pupdate and say thanks again for the purrs, prayers, and well-wishes.

They are working!

 

 

Remember the movie in my post on Monday?  Well, that was me on Sunday.

Now look at me!

 

 

 

Since Tuesday, mom has been walking me down the streets a few houses to a common grassy area for me to do my business.  We go twice in the mornings and sometimes later in the day if the sidewalk isn't too hot.  Tuesday night we walked about a quarter of a mile and last night we did a whole half of a mile!  I am pretty steady if I don't walk too fast.  Sometimes I stumble on curbs, and mom has to steady me still when I go potty.  ahem!  But I can balance on three legs now to leave pee mails!  BOL!  I just can't leave my messages very high up on things...  Turning around is sometimes still awkward for me too. 

 

 

Oh, check out what came in the mail today.

 

 

It's the special lifting harness mom got for me.

It's a pretty cool harness.  I'm not sure about the back part of it...it's pretty close to some, er, sensitive areas.  At least it does not get in the way of any, um...activities.

 

 

I'm not so sure about the whole lifting bit either...

oh well.

 

Mom  says once we get the special traction shoes she ordered for me, she'll take me back to the doc's for a check up.  Something about getting me there with her back in one piece...I'm not sure what that is about...

I still got game!

Woofs, everybuddy!

Gosh, thanks for the get well wishes.  They mean a lot to me and my mom.

 

 

You know, she is not letting me lie around and feel sorry for myself.  Since I am adjusting and getting around a bit better since this all started on Caturday, mom is making sure to get me up and have me move about.  We even walk around in the front yard.  And this morning I went with mom to the mail box (it is just one house down from ours).

 

I have not lost my positive Labra-tude!

 

 

I'm even up for a low key game of fetch.

 

 

 

Well, almost.  BOL!  Ok, maybe I was a little bit movie-box shy there.  After mom turned it off I did play some more.  Sometimes I forget myself and move a bit too fast in my excitement and then I lose my balance.  I am usually wearing a harness outside and mom will help steady me especially when we are walking.

 

 

 

This whole situation really brought home to her about being able to move me when I can't move.  She was using a towel sling on my rear end but it was hard for her to hold up my rear and help me out with my front end at the same time.  I tend to shut down and not want to do anything when anybuddy starts "man-handling" me.  Mom ordered me a special lifting harness and some traction booties.  We'll see how that goes when it all comes, bol.

 

Well, If you'll excuse me...

I'm gonna see if I can't work mom over for a cookie...

Friday Fun

With me again, Smidgen!

Well, it turns out that I did get pressies for my birthday.

First I got this cheap cardboard ring economical, ecofriendly/recyclable flying ring!

It's actually a lot of fun...

I also got some brand new nappy mats!  Mom said it would be good to have extras on account of my, um, accidents.  But you know, I've been accident-free for a week now...knock on wood... (raps paw on Minnie's head)

The fleece is a little different than my usual nappy pads...

yeah...I got two of the same color cause they were

the ones on sale...whatever!

But it still feels good under paw.

I wanna say thanks to everybuddy, for visiting me and helping me celebrate on this week of, well, Me!

Now if you'll excuse me...I'm gonna get back to my biscuits...

First our mom abandons our bloggie, something about being busy and stressed out from her work place.

Then she actually abandons us for a week.

And even after coming home, she still wouldn't help us with visits or bloggin!

What do you mean, no one wants to hear about all of our naps?!?

Well, ok, I'll give you that...  But today we got some stuff in the mail!

Just lookit this pawsome box!

Not only that, but we got a ton of shreddy papers!

As you can see, I helped mom sort them out.

The best part is that mom set up a delivery schedule so that every ten weeks we'll be getting a new big box like this and shreddy papers!  Isn't that the coolest?

Now if you'll excuse me...I've got some shreddin to do!

This is my fav'rite time of the year 'cause boxes and fun shreddin papers start showin up at our house!  We got a really good one last week.  I think mom wanted to hide the papers for herself, but she couldn't fool me!

Well, we don't really think of ourselves that way but we think we've got cute going in spades!

Well, if you ask Pip, maybe sometime in 2008, mol!  The rest of us don't get real chicken meat like mom eats but we do get it in our stinky goodness or raw foods.  In fact, Minnie is eating raw chicken now.

We have classical type music playing all the time here.  Right now it's Schubert's Minuets and Trios.  This is good - mom and all of us really like Schubert.  Oooo, now a good Haydn symphony is on!

5. What were you thinking when you were doing this?

Is mom really gonna help us get this post done?!?

Game Night

Hai!  Um...It's Hollie again...The lady here said I could have a game night.  Check this out.  It's called Dog Cat Casino!

The Treat Dealer Lady puts noms in these little drawers...

And you have to figure out where they are!  Sometimes the Dealer Lady can be tricky and not put the fud in all of the drawers!  But don't worry, she's pretty nice to the beginners.  Here's a movie of me playing.

Fun with Pip

I'm a mature lady cat.  But you know, I have my gooberish moments too!  I know what you're thinking, but it's true.

See this little piece of paper?  Well, this is my absolute favorite toy...next to my green froggy...and my absolute favorite game is when mom tears some paper, to get my attention and all, crumples it up, and flicks it across the floor for me to chase!  Fun, I'm telling you!

Mind you, I only chase the paper and maybe chew on it and bat it around with my paws when I catch it.  I know there are some kitties out there who fetch, and Minnie does too, to some extent, so I don't mean to offend, but I feel it is my catly duty to, well, not.  So mom has to run after the paper wads to collect them to flick across the floor for me again.  The way I see it, really, is that I'm doing her a favor 'cause she's getting excercise too!
