At least there is still nip all over the carpet I can enjoy.

Easy Sunday

Another rough start to our Easy Sunday here.

First we had to wait for our breakfasts while Wriggley took mom out for walkies.

Then, as I was about to enjoy some fresh air on the Catio, I saw this introoder kitty out there!

I started to hiss and growl give it what-for but then mom hustled me away back to my room.  I presume she took care of things because when I had a chance to check back, the Catio was closed and the introoder gone.

Yesterday as mom was out and about she picked some flowers for us to enjoy.

 

There is a small field mom passes every day that is planted in flowers and anybuddy is free to pick some to enjoy.  This is the first time mom has stopped to pick any.  She only had her coffee mug to use as a vase, mol.

She was inspired to do some clean up in our back yard and plant some seeds.

I think I'm ready for an afternoon pick-me-up...

I was planning on finishing the job but as soon as I stepped away mom let that Kirbymonster out and it got to eat what was left!  pphhhffft!

Easy Sunday

It has been a cold and dreary weekend here so we have all been hunkering down.

It is very close to Christmas and we were getting worried 'cause our mom hadn't done any decorating.  She usually waits 'til the first of December.  She was very excited before Thanksgiving and almost couldn't wait, but then one thing led to another and, well, we thought we'd be going without this year.

 

Finally, yesterday she did put up our little tree.

 

 

We have always been tree-topper challenged.  This time we found a couple of our kitty toys to use.  Do you see them up there?

I don't get to post very often any more and here is a day that was made for me and I almost missed it!

 

Now mom calls all of us mutts but it is clear that I have some Siamese in my background.  One day when we were at the v-e-t, the receptionist person called me a Lynx Point - that is a tabby cat with the color points, also called a Tabby Point Siamese.

 

My body color has darkened over the years.

This is what I looked like as a kitten:

 

 

Even though I don't say much here on the blog, I do like to talk a lot.

It's the thought that counts



 Do you remember my blanket crafting project?

What with Mother's Day coming up, I've been working especially hard on it.

 

 

Oh, I know what you are thinking...that after all this time I should be done with all of that fringing and lacing.  Well, let me tell you, it's a big blankie!  It takes a lot of time...not to mention kitty spit...

 

Of course, while I was at it with the lacing project, I got another brilliant idea.  Since the blanket is so big, why not cut it in half and then I can do two projects instead of one!

I may need mom's help with the scissors...

 

Not only can I have the stylish lace and fringed blanket...

 

I still have some lace work to do...cutting the blanket

in two took longer than I thought...

 

Look what else I decided to make...

 

Just a leetle more work to join those two holes and

make one big hole for mom's head to fit through.

 

Do you see?  It's going to be a poncho for mom.

Just in time for Mother's Day!

I still have a bit of work to do to make the head-hole bigger.

You know you've got some good and potent nip when somekitty surfs a closed zip-baggy-full off the counter and tears into it a closed zip-baggy-full flies off the counter top and explodes on the floor.

Might as well enjoy it.

But then mom let the Kirby Monster out of the closet and he went and ate all of it!

I was at the v-e-t today getting my teefs cleaned.

 

Mom says I'm still a bit loopy from the anesthesia.
