Tuesday treasure hunt!

This morning while we were having our breakfast, momma went digging for buried treasure under the 'fridge.

Lookit all of this loot!

It's like Christmas came early.

 

The paper straws are Ditto's fav'rites, the plastic rings are Sharpie's, and the fuzzy rings are Lilly's.  We aren't sure about the egg so we didn't waste any time chucking it behind the 'fridge again.

We better hide all of this again so Sandy Clawrs will bring us new stuff.

Hullo!

I am having a bit of fun playing with this toy I found.

 

It is soft on one side and sort of scratchy on the other.

Plus it is spongy and great to bunny kick!

 

Momma had this hidden by the kitchen sink.  I think it was rude of her to hold out on us like that.

I remember when I first found these on my explorations in the realm of Counter Top.

Hmmm...I haven't played with this plastic spoon in a while.

 

On second thought, this ring thing looks fun.

Wordless Wednesday: Smidgen...and friend

None of us have ever really gone for playing with the roulette wheel.

As soon as we post about Minnie not wanting to play, Smidgen goes and does this...

Mom breathing huge sigh that she didn't scatter pieces to kingdom come...



This is why...

...we'll proly never have real Neko Flies toys.

 

There I was, helpin mom shred some papers for recycling.  She was pulling papers out of a notebook.  As she did, I noticed this cool piece of wire toy.

It sort of came out of nowheres.

 

woo hoo!

 

I just could not resist, I mean, go figure that you could find a cat toy in a notebook!  Well, mom noticed the fun I was having just with the bit of wire new toy and she she made it even better!

Mom was able to make two new toys for us.  She got a scrap piece of dowel to make a handle for one and tied a bit of fleece on the end.  For the other, she used an old cork for the handle, for lack of anything else, and hooked on a milk jug ring at the other end.  For both toys, she made sure there were no ends that could poke an eye out...safety first an all...

 

 

Our mom likes the wire 'cause then we can't cheat (her words) and try to chew through string to get at a toy (mol!).  Anywho, if you see your folks getting rid of some papers, be on the look out for a kitty toy and make sure they save it for you!

The tell-tale toy

I like hangin out with my wormie friend.

  

 

It's starting to get cold at night so I've been sleepin in Wriggley's bed my super-duper-deluxe-extra-super-large-deluxe cat bed.  Even if mom doesn't see me in the bed, wormie gives me away...

 

 

Mom gets a kick out of seein where I've been on account of where wormie is.  Today, she could tell I had been nappin by the tree by the front door.

 

 

And do you see wormie behind me?

 

 

We were enjoyin some window whiffies and keeping an eye on the back yard.

And then there was...

Smidgen's Wild Ride

I was playing the other morning, feeling kind of silly, when I decided to take the Cube for a spin...

weeee!

I usually act this way in the morning, since I'm fresh from my 23 hours beyooty sleep the day before.  Is there a particular time of day that you act the goob?

Fun Times!

We are a little behind the kitty-times.  Now that Ess' are all the rage, our mom finally got us...

Cubes!

Mom was a little worried that she wasted her green papers.

After the initial inspection, I walked away and there sat the cube.

But since then I decided the Cube is a nice place to hang out.

Hide, even.

I like to sit in the Cube and watch bird TV.

Mom can tell when we've been playing in it cause it gets moved.  But what we like best is when mom plays with us!

It's kind of skeery sometimes cause we'll clawr at the cube and as we run off, it chases after us!  Other than that, we like our cube.  Thanks mom!

...Now how about gettin us an ESS?

Do You Chew?

I don't suppose it's a surprise to anycat that I like to chew on stuff.

Mom thinks I'm a little OCD as evidenced by some of my toys...

Not to mention some of the other odd things I chew on, like pencils...but I said not to mention those.

I really get into the chewing thing...you'd think I was teething or something.  That's what mom is wondering, maybe my teef hurt.  I'm not saying anything cause I don't really want to go to the ::whispers:: V-E-T.  The last time I had my teef cleaned I came back with some missing!  Something about mild stomatitis?  Whatever.

Mom brought me some brand new things to chew on.

This catnippy swizzle stick looks like fun...

So, I have to ask.  Are any of you kitties out there avid chewers?

Or do you think there is a (gasp) V-E-T appointment in my future?

Toesday with Minnie

Yello!  I'm in my donut bed again...or is that still?  It's cold an this is my favorite place to curl up (besides mom's lap) when it's cold.

Mom got us this new catnippy mousie.  She thought it was really cute an thought we'd like it cause it looks so realistic...'cept we don't.

She's tryin all kinds of stuff to get us to play with it...bordering on the annoying!

I'm not buying it, tho...

My wormie is my most favorite toy.

Mom hadn't seen it around in awhile and last night she asked me to find it but then she went to bed.  A few moments later I hollered at her and she came back out to the front room - I had found wormie!  She was happy and played with me for a bit an then we all went back to bed.
