Toesday with Minnie

Yello!

It's me, Minnie!  ok, mostly my pawsies...and a little bit of my nose...

 

 

It's been ages since I've posted a Toesday!  I figgered since we started the year with a Toesday, it would be fun to finish with one.

 

 

Most evenings my pawsies and I take over mom's lap.  Here we are all stretched out and comfy.  We sometimes watch movies, maybe read, or listen to audio books.

 

 

It's hard to believe it's the end of the year!  We aren't much for New Year's Eve pawties or celebrations.  Shoot, we're lucky if we can stay up past nine!

 

So tonight we'll probably find some movies to watch again, you know, just hang out an all.  Maybe think on some resolutions.  Other than stirring up mischief having as much fun as possible in the coming year, I can't really think of anything else....

The trade-off

This morning, as mom was still trying to sleep, she didn't care that I kept trying to curl up on her chest and purr in her face.

She kept rousting me off.
 

 This called for extreme measures!
I had to climb the pillow mountains, to the base of Mount Pillowmanjaro!

You can just see the peak of Pillowmanjaro behind me.

There I was able to set up a base camp...

where I was able to purr in her ear...

hee hee!

We all have our limits

When our mom feeds us, she adds some water to our stinky goodness, to be sure we are sufficiently hydrated an all.  She has to be careful with me.  If my food is too soupy I'll projectile bomit it all over the place on account of I eat so fast.

 

 

Well, yesterday mom gave me my breakfast with the comment "I hope that isn't too soupy..."

I just dug in.

 

A bit later mom noticed I hadn't finished my meal, and chocking it up to "too soupy", put my dish in the fridge.  She did check the floors for bomit, just in case.  If I do yak up my food, it kind of ruins my appetite.

 

 

Well, fast-forward to dinner.  Mom sort of forgot about what happened at breakfast and as she remembered, she just figured she'd add more stinky goodness to the existing soup; sort of make it less soupy, you know?

 

 

So as mom was adding in the stinky goodness, she noticed the mucousy, slimy quality to my breakfast leftovers.

 

"Minnie, you didn't..."

 

 

Yes, as a mater of fact, I did!  I bomited my breakfast right back into my dish!

 

The worst part was mom tried to pass off my ABE* breakfast, with a bit of new stinky goodness added, for my dinner!  Ewwww!  I mean, I have my limits!  I took one sniff and cried and cried!

 

So mom, not wanting to hear me yowl and yowl being the softie that she is, threw that yucky stuff out and gave me fresh stinky goodness...

...with only a little bit of water this time :)

Wordy Wriggley Wednesday: Merry Christmas!

Hmm...

I bet you were expecting to see me dressed up and posing today.

 

 

I took mom out adventuring the other day.  We saw squillions of birds and she took as many pictures.

She waited 'til the last minute to do my Christmas posing, so yesterday as was all set to have me in the silly antler hat, it turned out the flashy box had dead batteries.  And no spares were at hand.

 

...It was all part of my plan...

Christmas wishes do come true!

Mom came home from work early today.

Usually when she does this it catches us off guard...

 

Why yes, I have been sleeping all day, as a matter of fact.

Jealous?

 

 

But then once she is home, early or not...

 

Say...how about dinner...?

My spider sense is tingling...

I hope you don't mind seeing so much of me lately.

 

Um...you know...I'm getting a strange feeling right now...

 

 

I'm not sure...

It's almost as if somebuddy was watching me...

 

 

I just can't quite put my paw on it...

A new mystery

um, hai...yeah it's me again...Hollie!

I'm just sitting up here on my jungle gym, enjoying an afternoon sunpuddle.

 

 

I thought I'd let everybuddy know that the, er, mice haven't been making any new messes in my nest with the styro-foam.

 

But as the lady was doing a more recent inspection, she came across a new mystery.

 

This time she found some screws in my nest.

Do you see them there?

 

 

I have no idea how they could've gotten there!

 

 

I guess I still have a problem with the mice...

or an orinj tabby ca ...er...maybe a packrat...

yeah...

Dream a little dream

As mom was out walking with Wriggley yesterday, she remembered a dream she had the night before.

She doesn't remember exactly what was going on , but as part of the dream, she was feeling a heavy weight and tightness on her chest and she thought she was having a heart attack.

 

 

She couldn't for the slightest figure out why she would have such a dream.

Then she recalled waking up with me sitting on her chest.

 

Suddenly things made sense.

 

 

I don't have the slightest idea what she means...
