Scenes from the Pup-cam

It has been awhile since I've been able to go out and take pictures.  Last week mom and I went over to the Colusa Wildlife Refuge.  The weather was cold so the short walking trail was just the ticket.  Since I had my camera, mom let me handle most of the phodography.

Mom fixed a better way for my camera to hang on my neck so I think I got some pretty good pictures this time.  Good scenery shots without my chin in the way, bol!  Though mom should have taken my ID tag off...

Anyhoo... here we go with some trail shots.

The trail is a half mile and it just goes out and back.  There is a cool bridge at the end of the trail and you have a pretty clear view of one of the ponds from the end of the bridge.  For some reason mom is always nervous that if I'm ever going to drop my camera, it will be off of the bridge, bol!  Needless to say we did not spend a lot of time there.

Even though it was a cool day, it's impawtant to stay hydrated.  Here is mom pouring me a drink.

I really like this next picture I took but I didn't have my head up quite high enough.  We were heading toward a wildlife viewing platform.

We did not go all the way out on the platform.  They didn't design it for pups with cameras so I couldn't get any good shots besides what I was sniffing on the platform.  They have the fence slats just too close together.

We stopped at the trailhead on the way back so I could take some pictures of the pond there.  The birds were getting pretty close to the shore near us so mom didn't want me too close to scare them.

My camera just didn't have the range so I asked mom to help me out with some close ups.  There was a Coot swimming really close to the shore by us.  I might have been whining a bit in my excitement, bol!

I really like the Coots (actually, I just like saying Coot, bol).
There are always a lot of Northern Shovellers too.  Mom had a hard time taking a picture when they weren't dabbling though.  There is a Pintail in the background of this picture too.

Thanks for letting me share my pictures.
Here is my favorite bridge picture again as if it was a watercolor pencil drawing:

Have a great Easy Sunday and week ahead, everybuddy!

  1. These are awesome, Wriggley! Sparkle had a camera at one point, but that was a long time ago, and I'm sure they make better ones now. Maybe my human can pick one up for me to use on some of my outings!
