We are just loungin around on mom.

 

Today is another special Toesday.

Our mom is not always good at helping us acknowledge awards; please know we are always touched and honored when friends think of us.

 

So our friends Dawn and the Pond Fish, who are now blogging on Diamond's blog, shared this Blog of The Year award with us.

Other duties as required...

 

I'm sure you know I'm the Chief Grocery Inspector around here.  I was lookin at my job description recently, you know, to be sure I'm covering everything in my inspections an all.

 

There's a lot to this job, I think you'd be surprised.  I know my mom is.  Take this line I saw kind of at the end: "Other duties as required by the position."

 

I think that is referring to my "Crumb Patrol."

 

 

See, Wriggley can sometimes be a sloppy eater with his kibbles or cookies.  But I've got it covered!

 

Wriggley got back from walkin mom and he got a

 handful of kibbles.  I have to make sure the carpet

is clean an all.

 

Wriggley left a mess after eatin his cookie...but I'm on it!

 

Even mom is a bit sloppy in the kitchen!

 

::sigh:: My work is never done!

 

Say mom, whatchya doin there?

 

 

What's that?  I'm not supposed to be on the table while you're eating?

Oh, don't mind me...I'm just doin "Crumb Patrol."

 

 

Ummm...are you going to eat all of that?

Toesday with Minnie

Yello!

It's me, Minnie, again ...and my pawsies.

 

 

We're helpin mom out on this game she's playin.  Mom really likes our help.  I can tell by her sighs of contentment.  Anywho, we're playin this game called Soduko.  The idea is to put these number tiles on the game board.

 

 

Apparently, though, it's not part of the rules to whap the pieces around on the floor.

Hmmmm...

Boring!

 

My pawsies and I have a better idea...

This is why...

...we'll proly never have real Neko Flies toys.

 

There I was, helpin mom shred some papers for recycling.  She was pulling papers out of a notebook.  As she did, I noticed this cool piece of wire toy.

 

hey, what's this?

 

It sort of came out of nowheres.

 

woo hoo!

 

I just could not resist, I mean, go figure that you could find a cat toy in a notebook!  Well, mom noticed the fun I was having just with the bit of wire new toy and she she made it even better!

Mom was able to make two new toys for us.  She got a scrap piece of dowel to make a handle for one and tied a bit of fleece on the end.  For the other, she used an old cork for the handle, for lack of anything else, and hooked on a milk jug ring at the other end.  For both toys, she made sure there were no ends that could poke an eye out...safety first an all...

 

 

Our mom likes the wire 'cause then we can't cheat (her words) and try to chew through string to get at a toy (mol!).  Anywho, if you see your folks getting rid of some papers, be on the look out for a kitty toy and make sure they save it for you!
