The Great Escape!

Our front door doesn't latch securely sometimes and this afternoon, when mom was outside with Wriggley, the wind blew it open!

I was able to escape explore outside for a bit.
Mom and Wriggley were walking back up to the house from the mail box when mom spotted me outside.  Need I say she freaked out!  Sheesh!  I was close to the front door yet, so mom quickly shoo'ed me back inside.

Mom and Wriggley came back inside right behind me.  Then mom started to look around for Smidgen.  Maybe she went explorin too?  I wasn't tellin!  Mom walked all through the house, searching and calling.  She stepped outside again and peered under the bushes by our porch.  Hmmm...Smidgen is pretty good at disappearin.  So mom checked the house again.  Nope!  She had to be outside!

And I was outside!  I was hiding hanging out on the other side of the bushes, nomming on some grass!  Of course mom grabbed me right away and took me back inside.

We were outside just long enough to sniff some sniffs, eat some grass, and come back inside and...

  1. One time our kitchen door was open a teeny crack so all three of us kitties decided to go outside and explore! My human caught us, though, because she saw my tail disappearing through the door crack. Do you know how she got us back inside? She told us to get our behinds back in... and we did!

  2. I would freak if the cats got outside, it is one of my biggest fears!!!!

When we first got Casper we bought a leash and harness to take him outside in the garden. I watched him very closely to make sure he didn't eat bugs or something that might be bad for him but every time he came back inside the house he would either vomit or have the trots...after a few times I got fed up and said he was staying indoors!
