Toesday with Minnie

Yello!
Do you see what me an my pawsies have today?

It's a Woodpecker treat bar!  Hang on...gotta open the package before we can hang it up outside...

We've been gettin some pretty good action on our Bird TV network.  On Sunday the Hummerbird channel had a lot goin on.  There were three chasin around our backyard and when mom had the sprinklers going, they were flitting through, takin a shower, mol!  But then in the evening we had a surprise special from the Woodpecker Channel!  This was a first for us and it even preempted our dinner time.  Ok, so it was mostly our mom interested in the program...we just wanted our dinnner...

Anyhoo, mom couldn't get a picture cause he was in one of our trees out of range of our flashy box.  We checked our bird book and figured out it was this guy...

Mom thinks even the finches and sparrows were surprised to see him cause they seemed to want to run him off.  Mom said it was funny to watch the woodpecker run around and under the branches to get away from the other birds!  These woodpeckers like ants and bugs and the tree he was in has both - our mom tries very hard not to use chemicals in our yard.  We hope he'll come back and we thought we'd put out some more food options.

Okay...so my pawsies an I are really more interested in explorin on the counter tops.

Excuse us, won't you?  Or what the heck, come on along!
hee hee!

Have a great rest-of-the-Toesday, everybuddy!

  1. Yes, birds can be rather hard on each other, and very territorial.

  2. We need a woodpecker or five here - we have enough ants to keep them well fed for a LONG time!

  9. We get woodpeckers like that one here too. He likes to peck on the tree and make lots of noise.
