Caturday started out pretty much as usual. A little later in the morning, mom started messing around with our ptu's. Uh-oh! I made myself scarce! If she had a car ride in mind for me, I wasn't going to make it easy.
Turns out tho, it was the boycats and that kitten Lilly that she packed off. She came home later in the afternoon...by herself! Oh my cats! This looked like the start of the most purrfect weekend!
But then later in the night, not long after it was dark, the sky exploded over our house! Fireworks, mom said. I guess this is the first weekend in June when our town sets them off for their annual Pioneer Day Wriggley Day celebrations. I guess they don't realize he isn't here anymore...or that he never liked fireworks...
So here I am with my Easy Sunday. Mom took off again earlier this afternoon and when she came back ::sigh:: she had them with her. Turns out she let Sharpie, Ditto, and Lilly spend the night at camp to escape the firework boomies.
well, I'm going to get back to my Easy Sunday, such as it is.
Well, at least you had one quiet night. Oh wait...those fireworks. Rats.....
ReplyDeleteWe wish there were not fireworks at all cuz all our pals hate them so much! Me and Stanley don't mind them too much so far.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Well, we certainly are sorry about those Wriggley Day fireworks. Wriggley Day, yes! Fireworks, no.
ReplyDeleteAt least ya got a break.
ReplyDeleteMOL, poor Smidgen - you thought you were in luck, but you were foiled!
ReplyDeleteWell, you had it made, at least for a little while!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to endure sky explosion...! But it's nice of them to celebrate Wriggley Day even though he didn't like it. I hope you got nice Easy :-)
ReplyDeleteAwwww!!!!!! Wriggley Day!!!!! I think where he is now, he understands that fireworks are nothing to be worried about. We hope so, because our great-sister Stormy wasn't keen on them, either. Maybe they watched them together!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCammie!
