Toesday with Minnie

It's Toesday again all ready...an it's October!  Yow!  It even feels like October outsides.

We are heat-seaking, lap-seaking kitties these days.

Mom cannot sit or lay down for long without one of us climbing aboard.  She doesn't even realize we do it...suddenly we are just there...like magic!

::sigh::  Oh, this is nice and comfy...I'm just gonna nap here for a bit...

Livestrong Day

Today we are YELLOW for LIVESTRONG Day, to show our support for cancer awareness, along with the many other bloggers.

Cancer has touched our lives directly.  Our mom's mom lost her fight many years ago.  Other of mom's relatives also died from cancer.

We don't want to be sad today.  We also know many survivors and that is pawsome!  We want to give our positive energy and purrs and prayers to help fight cancer.  To help those fighting the disease now to win, to be survivors.  Have Hope and Courage.

Our doggy bro Wriggley is a survivor.  He's sporting yellow to help us and he brought out his bestest yellow toys for today.

Pip's Dirty Little Secret

Ok, I wasn’t completely truthful when I said my favorite toy (next to my green froggy) was a crumpled bit of paper.  My real absolutely favorite toy is rubber bands.  You could even say I have a fetish.  Except I never get to play with them.  Something about it being dangerous if I were to eat them…and I do try to eat them…

Look at this special rubber band mom let me play with for a bit.  Smidgen and Minnie didn't think it was such a big deal until they saw me having fun. 

I got a little possessive of it after that, and mom thought I was going to eat it as opposed to let anyone else have it...so she spoiled my fun entirely and risked life and limb to take it away...well, her limb at any rate.

Saturday, October 2, 2010, is LIVESTRONG Day and everyone is encourage to go Yellow and show support for cancer awareness.

We'd like to thank Milo & Alfie for bringing this day to our attention and to Ann of Zoolatry for creating the cool tags.

Check out the CB for more links and info about the event.  Our mom is hoping to participate in a local 5k/1 mile fun run event on Caturday.  We are encouraging her not to wimp out, mol!  In the mean time, we are getting ready to Go Yellow!  Are you?

Toesday with Minnie

I am in protest today, so I'm just going to loaf here and not show my pawsies...

You see, over the weekend I was duped, fooled, even.  It seems my fun Cat Cave also has an Evil dual purpose.  Yesterday I hadta go to the V-E-T!  It has been awhile since my last checkup an I kinda forgot about the Evil PTU.  You’d think I would’ve paid attention to Pip and Smidgie when they went to the V-E-T but honestly, mom is pretty sneaky about the process, we never realize until it’s too late!

Ok...maybe I'll show one pic-sher of my toes...

They stuck my leg here to take some blood.  I had to clean and clean and clean and clean to get the vet smells offa me!   Oh, an here's one more... 

So in case you are wonderin I had a good check up.  The doctor complimented my soft furs an long whiskers!  Mom will get a call tomorrow with my blood test results.    Everything should be normal – mom says that’s a nice switch, mol!

Oh, and mom says I’m becoming a pill – ever since my outdoor adventure I am even more determined to sneak out the front door whenever I can!

The Cat Cave

Hey, lookit this.  It's my cat cave!  Pretty neat, huh?  Mom brought it out for me to play with over the weekend.

See, I can go inside here and no one will know where I am!  It's a magic cave, too.  Sometimes there will be treats inside...you just never know!  I wonder if there is anything in there now...

Sneakin'!

So yesterday as mom was bringing Pip back inta the house, I sneaked out!

I love to roll on the cements in the sun!

Then I went and nommed some grass, my next-favorite thing to do.

I had to check out some of the other plants too.  I really liked this grassy plant.

I also explored around the shrubbery, niffing here and there, to see who had been around.  I'm not used to being outside, so I keep a low profile...

This is why we don't do a Thursday gardening post, mol!  Mom, I think this plant has had it!

I kept going back to this grassy plant - definitely my favorite.  'Cept I thought it needed to be pruned a little shorter...

...mom did not agree and made me come back inside...
