I Got Mail!

oh, sure, I know it's not really addressed to me...

But with a box like this, how could I be wrong?

The kitties read on different pup's blogs about BarkBox and told me about it.  I asked mom if she would sign me up.  She didn't say anything at the time...and then my box came!  Each month I'll get a box with some different products inside, and proceeds go to a good cause.

This box had a summertime theme.  I got my very own squeaky T-bone steak toy for BBQ time, an edible chew to keep me occupied and out of the way for 5 minutes, treats, bubbles, and a "poopy pack" (let's face it, a pup can't have too many poop bags).

Mom seemed to have the most fun playing with the doggy bubbles, so I said she could have those.

Mom said I have to save my steak for later.

The treats are grain free, yummy, made in the USA, and thankfully passed mom's standards.  Did I mention they were yummy?

Easy Sunday Recap

Well, we had an Easy entire weekend!

To sum it up...

Since our mom was lazy last weekend, we had to put her to work this weekend.

Yesterday she worked on the front yard and today she did the back yard.  Most impawtantly, she put more bird food out and cleaned their bath dishes (it's been hot here!)

Do you see that thing hangin way at the back, what looks like a bird house maybe?

Well, it's acutally a bee house!

It's for mason bees and other solitary type species that don't colonize in hives like honey bees do.

Mom hung it out there several weeks ago, not realy expectin anything.

And...

See the plugged up holes?  We got lodgers!

We're all really excited...ok...mostly our mom is really excited...

This is the time of year when we get ant invasions in the house.  Mom was all grumbly cause just a week after she organized the cupboards and our half of the pantry, the ants came!  They didn't get into any of our food but mom didn't want to take any chances.  Part of her chore work today was to get airtight containers for our dehydrated type foodables.  Now she just has to figure out how to fit the containers in the cupboard...details...

This time of year also brings these guys...or maybe gals...

Mol!  We have garden spiders out the wazoo and mom lets them stay.  This is one of the biggest!  The pic-sher is zoomed but she really is that big, mol!  Thankfully they stay outside. These guys are in the class of "too creepy for us to mess with".  Hee hee!

Just...stuff

Mom stocked up on our foodables a coupla weeks ago.  Over last weekend she was procrastinatin other chores so she stocked our stinky goodness pantry.

She even reorganized the cupboards and gave us our own set of shelves for the rest of our food!

We have more food than she does, mol!

Later, Mom brought out her activitiy mat.

 

We have an activity mat too but it's pretty boring.

ho hum...

Mom's has 87 squillion a thousand toys with it. She's been playing some boring game where she sticks the pieces together. Somethin about makin a picture...

When she first started playin with her mat, I tried to convince her to try some other, more fun games.

Like whappin the little toys pieces about...

woo hoo!

 

My personal favorite is grab-a-piece-and-run-all-over-the-house.  This ranks up there with hide-a-piece and seek.

I' gotta find just the right piece and I'm ready to GO!

Alas, mom is soooo boring!  She would not listen to any of my suggestions.

Toesday with Minnie

Laying low...

I've been laying low this weekend.  All these posts about yak...Friday evening I projectile bomited my dinner down the cat tree, on the floor...and...wait for it... into mom's work shoes!  Mom wasn't too happy.  She knows I can't help stuff like that so she wasn't really mad.  She was thankful it was dinner and not breakfast, mol!  Plus I missed her good running shoes!  Anyways, by the time she had gone out and hosed her shoes off, I had the mess on the tree cleaned up and I was starting to clean up the floor.  Mom assured me she'd finish...

We sent mom out yesterday to do some errands for us.  Wriggley was having a kibble crisis and we needed supllies to keep the bird channel on.  This time we made sure mom bought some cracked corn special for the doves and pigeons.  Minnie and I snoopervised mom as she filled the feeders.

We have seen the pigeon but mom couldn't get a pic-sher.  We'll keep trying - that guy is about as big as we are!

Mom did our laundry.  She got new covers for Wriggley's bed and washed the old ones.  She also got a new pillow insert for him and she pawed-down the old one for me!

What with the clean bed and all, rumor has it that Wriggley's gonna get a bath...but you didn't hear that from me!  ::snicker::

Well, I need to break in my new-to-me bed some more.

The things you can count on

Mom put out some new grass for us Thursday morning.

Mom had just tossed some old seeds in this pot and she didn't expect them to grow, but they did!

She also planted a new package of seeds in our little pot.

I like the grass in the big pot best.  So does Minnie.  The big pot has more room for the both of us so we'll actually share!

Well, so we got this fresh grass Thursday morning and Minnie and I were both excited to chow down.  Not too long afterwards mom heard the tell-tale signs of, yup, you proly guessed it - yak!

First mom hears somecat in the bedroom, and while she's getting set to go clean it up, she hears someothercat in the front room!  Synchronized yak!  It was Minnie in the bedroom and me in the front room, mol!  Mom says that's one thing she can count on with us and the kitty grass, hee hee!  Oh, and she had Wednesday off of work so she's all confused on her days - she said yesterday was definitely a Monday!  And to top it off, Minnie, and I left her more presents when she got home from work :)
