Double checking

We got a box in the mail today.

Mom said it was food and treats for Wriggley.  Oh, and a t-shirt for her.

That couldn't be right so I had to check for myself.

 

 

A cat can't be too sure.

 

Would you believe tho that there wasn't anything in here for us kitties?!?

Sure, sure, there was the shreddy papers...but you know what I mean.

 

I know!  Crazy!

I fought the law

This little square here on the bed is where mom sleeps.

I'm not allowed to be here on account of there is no plastic on this part of the bed...in case I, well, you know...

 

 

Uh oh.  Here she comes.

 

Well, she just suggested I move over to my own little pillow.

 

 

Oh well.

 

You know what they say about life and lemons.

 

 

I'm going to enjoy some lemonade!

Mom brought in a new bag of bird seed.

Thankful Thursday

I still sometimes have accidents in my sleep.
Mom doesn't care for me to sleep with her for that reason.  I will often wait until she is asleep and curl up on her.  The other night while I was cuddled on mom, I sort of had a pretty big accident...



 

 all over her blankie and legs/fleecy pants.

Mom knows I can't help it and she doesn't get mad (just maybe a little grossed out).

I'm thankful I can still relax here and know mom will always love me.

Even if she does chuck me off her at night.

 

 

 This time, mom had to be sure she was up on time for work so as soon as the alarm went off and she was just a little bit awake, she could...um...smell something was up.  She didn't waste any time getting up and getting cleaned up.

She was thankful for that at least.

And I only got her and the blankie...nothing went through to the bed.

 

 

Plus, I still don't sleep on her head :)

 

It's the thought that counts



 Do you remember my blanket crafting project?

What with Mother's Day coming up, I've been working especially hard on it.

 

 

Oh, I know what you are thinking...that after all this time I should be done with all of that fringing and lacing.  Well, let me tell you, it's a big blankie!  It takes a lot of time...not to mention kitty spit...

 

Of course, while I was at it with the lacing project, I got another brilliant idea.  Since the blanket is so big, why not cut it in half and then I can do two projects instead of one!

Not only can I have the stylish lace and fringed blanket...

 

I still have some lace work to do...cutting the blanket

in two took longer than I thought...

 

Look what else I decided to make...

 

Just a leetle more work to join those two holes and

make one big hole for mom's head to fit through.

 

Do you see?  It's going to be a poncho for mom.

Just in time for Mother's Day!
