Is the coast clear?
We don't have the big flashy-boomies on the Fourth of July here where we live.
Instead, we have have them on the first Caturday in June, as part of the town's Pioneer Day celebration. Tonight!
Yow!
We all made ourselves scarce at the first boom. Get this tho, mom abandons us and goes outside to watch!
In years past they've set them off on the other side of town but since our town is pretty small, there's a good view from our house. This year they changed the venue and used the empty fields practically right behind our house! Oh, it was all soooo loud!
Mom came in the house a couple of times during the noise to make sure Wriggley was ok. Us kitties were no where to be found. And afterwards mom had to look high and low for us.
Wait... a little higher...
Here I am! Is it safe?
Pip and Hollie were each ok in their rooms. I had mom worried cause she didn't know where I was hiding. Finally she peeked under the sofa and found me! Then I knew it was ok to come out.
Whew! Made it through another year of this. Can we go to bed now?
Yow!
Well! That was certainly rude of them, setting up all that ruckus so nearby without consulting you! They should be more considerate of you kitties!
ReplyDeleteHey, we live in the South where humans celebrate days ending in "Y" with fireworks. We don't like those boomers either...especially right next door, on both sides, and across the street!
ReplyDeleteWe had REALLY bad boomies last night. Hansel was so bad we had to lock him in the ptu to calm him down. He was really freaked out!
ReplyDelete---- "LIIIIIES!" -hansel
Oh we hatehatehate those boomies! Grayce hides behind the toilet where (she swears) it's safe.
ReplyDeleteWe don't like that stuff at all! Glad you are all safe.
ReplyDeleteOH goodness
ReplyDeleteWE dont like loud boomies either.

OMC! Wot a terrible experience! Yoo must be tired!
ReplyDeleteI got to see flash bangs on Guy Faulks night for the first time last year. Simba loves to sit on the window sill and watch them go up, kerboom, then send a pretty colourful shower down. I think because he wasn't scared it made me feel safe to watch them too. :)xx
ReplyDeleteHow rude that those noises interrupted your evening.
ReplyDeleteOh we hate those loud booming things! We have some that are kind of near our house and boy they are so darn loud! We all hide when they start them up - we think you were smart to do that too! We are glad you made it though safe - we hope it isn't as loud for you the next time the do it!
ReplyDeleteWe don't like loud noises, either! We are glad they are over for now, and that you are all safe.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry you had to hear that loud noise!! Glad it's over!
ReplyDeleteBut it's so nice that your mom can see fireworks very close :-)
We will never understand why humans love those stupid bangy things. What is so fun about loud noises that hurt your ears and make you jump? Mama loves them... Trixie and Sammy-Joe hate them. Only Lily doesn't seem to care.
