Kitty Neglect-areenos

Yow!  We're back!  Mom had to go on a trip for work and abandoned us for 10 gazillion days!  We were locked away from the computer and couldn't post or visit.  She went someplace chilly and said it was warm there, summer even... wait...what's that mom?  oh...ok...she went to the country Chile.  So that's what the flag is about!







She showed us some pic-shers of where she stayed.  Check out the big screen tv!

And she said the bird channel was pawsome...with a quail program even!

Meanwhile we were home alone in the cold and dreariness of winter.  ::sigh::

This weekend we have been keeping a close watch on her...making sure she doesn't leave again.  We snoopervised her breakfast...

and even enlisted Wriggley to help hold her down...

Mom is grumbling about being tired and still being in another time zone but we hope she'll help us catch up and visit efurryone.  See you soon!

Minnie's on the Job

Mom did our grocery shoppin the other day.  She left the dog food out for me to check.  I had to make sure she got the right kind an all...you know...just lookin our for Wriggley...

Of course, no QA inspection is complete without a taste test...

The Other Cats here aren't too good about sharing...that includes the blog!  I'd share with them if I was out and about...well...maybe...

The lady got me this cool thing that I can sit on and scratch on.  You know, the Other Cats don't like scratching on cardboard?  I sure do! I think they call this an interactive toy.  See, it has this ball in a track that the lady can push around.  She seems to like to do that when I sit here.  Whatever!  People get their kicks in the strangest ways!

I'm having more chances to see Minnie and Smidgen.  The lady is anxious now to have us all together cause it seems like other folks are making quick intros with their new additions.  At the same time, tho, she says she doesn't want to blow it.  I'm not worried.  I'm not going anywhere.  The lady made this movie of us.  I'm a little wary when they are close to the doorway.  A lot of times they hiss and run, then I go up to the door to see what's what, and sometimes if I see them, I hiss and run!  Mol!

Toesday with Minnie

Yello!  I'm in my donut bed again...or is that still?  It's cold an this is my favorite place to curl up (besides mom's lap) when it's cold.

Mom got us this new catnippy mousie.  She thought it was really cute an thought we'd like it cause it looks so realistic...'cept we don't.

She's tryin all kinds of stuff to get us to play with it...bordering on the annoying!

I'm not buying it, tho...

My wormie is my most favorite toy.

Mom hadn't seen it around in awhile and last night she asked me to find it but then she went to bed.  A few moments later I hollered at her and she came back out to the front room - I had found wormie!  She was happy and played with me for a bit an then we all went back to bed.

Most Embarrassing Moments

Mom was out and about today with Wriggley.  When she came home, she emptied his treat pouch and set it aside...she thought out of kitty-reach.  Well, I could smell something good and I wanted to check and make sure that pouch was really empty...you know, to help out an all.

I stuck my head inside to sniff and have a look-see...only... I couldn't get my head back out!  Hey!  Who turned out the lights?  Mom heard me scramblin and looked around to see me backing all over the place with this little bag on my head!  She tried to help me get it off but whenever she grabbed for it or me I got even more scared and tried to run away.  Finally after what seemed like furrever she was able to grab the bag so I could get my head out - before I freaked out too much and ran all over the house.  Whew!

Uh oh, here's the bag monster again...I gotta go!

I'm really scared ot this bag now!

Be careful, Minnie, it will eat your head!

Pastimes

Mom had quite a few days off over the holidays.  One thing that she likes to do, especially when the weather is crummy, is work on jigsaw puzzles.  I like to help.

Lookit all of these fun shaped toys interestingly shaped toys puzzle pieces!

Mom doesn't have a good place to spread everything out so she works on small sections at a time and she was trying out working on pieces of felt.  She thought this might make it easier for her to keep me out of the way me to help her.

For some reason mom picked everything up and went to work in another room...I'm not sure why...she just doesn't appreciate all the help us kitties are to her!

I went back to my storm watch...

Happy Snow Year!

I was on storm-watch first thing this morning when mom got up.

She wondered what I could be so excited about.  This is what I saw:

Snow!

We live in California in the north end of the Sacramento Valley.  In the winter time we get freezing weather, but it's not very often we get the cold combined with a storm such that we get snow.  In my four years, I don't think I've ever seen it.
