I was on storm-watch first thing this morning when mom got up.
She wondered what I could be so excited about. This is what I saw:
Snow!
We live in California in the north end of the Sacramento Valley. In the winter time we get freezing weather, but it's not very often we get the cold combined with a storm such that we get snow. In my four years, I don't think I've ever seen it.
Sorry about the poor pic-sher quality, mom took this before she had any coffee...
Ok, so it isn't much and we won't be building any snowcats any time soon...
...it looks more impressive on our truck:
Our new year is off to an exciting start all ready! Yow!
Stay inside and stay warm. Best wishes on a great 2011!
ReplyDeleteOooooh pretty. I bet if you scooped up the snow from the car you could make a life size snowcat :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you got real snow up there! We are (of course)having more rain. It's been so cold the past few days that we are surprised we didn't have snow! Happy New Year friends! We look forward to following your adventures and are looking forward to Hollie's coming out party. xoxo

Well, if it is unusual, thats good. We hate the stuff!
ReplyDeleteBut Happy Happy 2011 New Year's Day!
Hope you are safe and cozy *inside*! Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had so much snow the other day where we live! I bet you wish you were here! The dogs among us ran around like crazy in it, rolled in it, and tried to eat it. (But Sammy-Joe, the kitty among us, didn't want to come out.) There is one bad thing about a lot of snow. When it comes, it is always COOOOOLD outside! Our paws freeze!
ReplyDeleteSo many cute kitties here! We always get lots of snow so we know how cold it can be. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!!
ReplyDeleteWe got snow in the hills around Napa Valle... but none in Napa!
