Other duties as required...

I'm sure you know I'm the Chief Grocery Inspector around here.  I was lookin at my job description recently, you know, to be sure I'm covering everything in my inspections an all.
There's a lot to this job, I think you'd be surprised.  I know my mom is.  Take this line I saw kind of at the end: "Other duties as required by the position."
I think that is referring to my "Crumb Patrol."
See, Wriggley can sometimes be a sloppy eater with his kibbles or cookies.  But I've got it covered!
Wriggley got back from walkin mom and he got a
handful of kibbles.  I have to make sure the carpet
is clean an all.
Wriggley left a mess after eatin his cookie...but I'm on it!
Even mom is a bit sloppy in the kitchen!
::sigh:: My work is never done!
Say mom, whatchya doin there?
What's that?  I'm not supposed to be on the table while you're eating?
Oh, don't mind me...I'm just doin "Crumb Patrol."
Ummm...are you going to eat all of that?

Toesday with Minnie

It's me, Minnie, again ...and my pawsies.
We're helpin mom out on this game she's playin.  Mom really likes our help.  I can tell by her sighs of contentment.  Anywho, we're playin this game called Soduko.  The idea is to put these number tiles on the game board.
Apparently, though, it's not part of the rules to whap the pieces around on the floor.
My pawsies and I have a better idea...
We're on the move!
...hang on...
Almost there...
Here we go!
Loafin on mom's lap!
Have a comfy Toesday, everybuddy!

This is why...

...we'll proly never have real Neko Flies toys.
There I was, helpin mom shred some papers for recycling.  She was pulling papers out of a notebook.  As she did, I noticed this cool piece of wire toy.
hey, what's this?
It sort of came out of nowheres.
woo hoo!
I just could not resist, I mean, go figure that you could find a cat toy in a notebook!  Well, mom noticed the fun I was having just with the bit of wire new toy and she she made it even better!
Check this out!
Mom was able to make two new toys for us.  She got a scrap piece of dowel to make a handle for one and tied a bit of fleece on the end.  For the other, she used an old cork for the handle, for lack of anything else, and hooked on a milk jug ring at the other end.  For both toys, she made sure there were no ends that could poke an eye first an all...
Our mom likes the wire 'cause then we can't cheat (her words) and try to chew through string to get at a toy (mol!).  Anywho, if you see your folks getting rid of some papers, be on the look out for a kitty toy and make sure they save it for you!

Sound the Alarm!

Today was a Caturday like any other.
Except it's been a bit windy and stormy.
So there I was, mindin' my own business, when something caught my eye in the back yard...
I rushed to the window and sounded the alarm!
Do you see that?  A plastic bag is trying to get into our house!
Mom was nearby but she was a bit slow to respond.  I had to meow for quite a while to get her attention.
The movie was after I had calmed down a bit...but oh, I still wanted to get my paws on that bag!  At first I was meowin non-stop!
Mom assured me I didn't need to worry, and she was able to open the door, grab the bag, and now it's secure in our recycle bin.
And I was able to get on with more impawtant things...
Don't worry, Wriggley, everything's under control!

Toesday with Minnie

It's me...Minnie!
Well, it's gotten kinda cold here lately and my pawsies are tucked in tryin to stay warm.  Over the weekend, our temperatures got down to freezing!
A couple of weekends ago, though, my pawsies and I helped mom out on her crossword.
Trust me, mom appreciates our help.
What with the cooler weather and shorter days, mom started playin with her activity mat again.  She still needs to frame the first two pictures she put together so she can hang them on the wall.  I still say it would be more fun to scatter the pieces all over the house, but mom never listens to me.
Still, I think mom could use my help on the new picture she's tryin to make.  She's got a big bit of sky to put together and she's grumbling about how hard it is.
Hey mom, I have a puzzle for you...
Hang this on the wall!
Hee hee!
Have a great Toesday, everybuddy!

The coolest bug came into our house!  Well, I thought so at least but mom didn't.
So she tried to squish it...
Hang on, mom, can't I just see it to show everybuddy?
oooh!  You can't tell, but it is still moving a bit.
Mom said it's a wasp and I shouldn't play with it, even if it is almost dead.
Wasps really freak out my mom so she just squished it under the shoe again, to make sure it was really dead before she picked it up.
The bug is back under the shoe.
But I really want it...
I know you're under there, dead bug.
In case you are wondering, I didn't get it.
The sucky monster got to eat it though.

Independent Grocery Consultant

At your service!
I have some impawtant grocery inspectin work that needs to be done.
Only, I'm not comfortable workin when the boss lady mom is lookin over my shoulder.
I feel a bit tentative...
self conscious even...
I didn't do a very good job on this bread inspection.
You can barely see where I clawred the package.  I wasn't able to do a proper taste test either.  I hope mom realizes the chance she's taking when she goes to eat any.
I consider myself more of a Independent Grocery Consultant.  My preference is to work with little to no snoopervision.  After the boss lady mom went away and left me to it, I was in my element!
I did not waste any time and was back in the bags...
...making sure mom got the right kind of...
Cotton balls!
Mom uses these for cleanin Wriggley's ears and I had to make sure they were ok... you know... triple size an all...
And if anybuddy is interested, my services are available for a nominal fee...
